New Hope Parish (PC USA) of Miami County, KS, has an opening for full time Pastor/Teaching Elder. New Hope includes three small churches in close proximity to each other near Kansas City. We are seeking an energetic leader to carry out ministerial and administrative duties of solo pastor for the parish. The congregations of the parish maintain their unique identities but are united under a single pastoral staff. We need a pastor with skills in the preaching of God’s word, working with all ages, in providing positive consistency, in providing leadership that promotes open communication and unity, in providing fresh ideas to the parish.

The New Hope Parish is a newly formed parish consisting of three congregations that have demonstrated the ability to work cooperatively to accomplish our goals. It is in this spirit that we pledge to partner with the pastor to lead worship, engage in community service and engage in pastoral care.

• The pastor of the New Hope Parish will be responsible for pastoral care within three churches, administering communion, (both in worship service as well as to home bound and nursing facilities).
• The pastor of New Hope Parish shall be the head of staff to personnel, leader and moderator for session meetings.
• The Pastor of the New Hope Parish shall assist each congregation in the development and execution of Christian Education programs, to include Sunday School for members of all age groups.
• The congregations of New Hope Parish will work to support the pastor and staff by helping with ancillary administrative duties to enable the pastor to focus on direct pastoral duties.
• The congregations of New Hope Parish will be flexible in streamlining the administrative procedures, meetings and actions to increase the amount of time available for pastoral care, worship and community involvement.
